What is Spinal Stenosis?

Spinal Stenosis is a condition that is a result of the narrowing of the spinal canal, causing a shoking sensation on the nerves and spinal cord (Neurologic Claudication).  We have developed a non-surgical treatment for spinal stenosis. Located in both Midtown NYC and in Brooklyn Heights NY,  he has been able to help so many patients that had only surgery as an alternative to their pain and suffering.  We utilize a unique advanced physiotherapy where he is able to target the nerves in the legs and the spinal area effected both at the same time. When combined with acupuncture, stretching, exercise, and traction decompression the results have been great.

Spinal stenosis occurs in the cervical spine or the lumbar spine. When it occurs in the lumbar spine, the patient complains of leg pain while walking. Usually it’s associated with lower back or radiating pain into the leg.  The pain into the legs can include all or one of the following: numbness, weakness, muscle spasm, and achiness. Generally patients suffering from lumbar spinal stenosis are limited in how far they can walk which affects their life style. When Spinal stenosis occurs in the Cervical spine, the patient presents with symptoms of hand and forearm weakness on one side or bilaterally, muscle spasm, and or numbness. The symptoms can effect work, exercise, and activities of daily living.
